PCC Walk for Life 2010

The Walk for Life is coming up on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. TLCC is hoping to provide a team of 8 WALKERS to help the Pregnancy Care Center raise money. Registration is from 9:30-10:30; Walk at 10:30; lunch to follow. There will be lots of entertainment for the kids (inflatables, face-painting, clowns, music, balloons, etc.). This year, they are also providing an online fundraising tool to walkers to make solicitation of sponsors easier than ever! TLCC Men's Retreat: September 17-18, 2010

The "Built for Significance" retreat at Camp Allendale will challenge men to move beyond passivity, to become men of courage and to reflect God's glory by living out their faith as disciplined godly men. The guest speaker for the retreat is Pastor David Schrock of Calvary Baptist Church. David has a desire for men to find their greatest joy in Christ as they grow in their understanding of God's Grace and Truth. Cost is $52 per person. Register on the Connections page of our website. New Song Mission - Volunteer Opportunity

New Song Mission is a ministry to children from Indiana who have been abused and neglected. By God's grace, New Song is building a children's home campus on 100 acres near Becks Grove Road in Brown County. Construction of campus houses is underway, and New Song is seeking a full-time volunteer campus caretaker to live in a camper on the campus over the next several months. Looking for something in particular from our church library? Our library catalog is now able to be searched online! Simply go to our website and click on the link from the front page, or go straight to our LibraryThing page. You can search by author, title, genre, or subject matter. The library is located in the ABF area (at the top of stairs above Waumba Land) and contains over 500 books, videos, DVDs, and magazines to support and encourage the Christian walk. If you're interested in reading books and writing brief reviews or if you have books you would like to donate, contact Emmeline at emmeline.mcwilliams@terracelakecc.org.
